Pricing

One fee, on one side, shown before you enter a card.

Travelers

8%

of the seat price, minimum $49 per seat

Added to the clearing price and shown as its own line on the confirmation, never folded into the seat price.

Operators

Nothing

no commission, no listing fee

You bid a charter total and you are paid that charter total. Seats that sell after you accept are yours on top.

Why the fee sits on the traveler's side

Because that is the side that can see it. Charge an operator a commission and they price it back into the bid — the traveler pays the same money, but it arrives buried in a charter total nobody can decompose. One visible line beats an invisible one.

It also keeps the operator side frictionless, and operators are the scarce half of this marketplace. A carrier with a free Tuesday should be able to answer a pool in under a minute without a contract negotiation first.

What you are never charged for

  • Posting a request. Free, always, however many you post.
  • A request that never finds an operator. It expires and your card is untouched.
  • A flight that clears above your ceiling. You are not on it and not billed.
  • A flight the operator or Encore cancels. Refunded in full.
  • Raising your maximum, cancelling before a match, or joining a different pool.

What's in the seat price

The charter total an operator bids covers the aircraft, crew, fuel, and the standard operating costs of the flight. Landing and handling fees at the airports on the itinerary are included in the bid.

Federal excise tax and segment fees apply to charter and appear on the confirmation where applicable. Things bought at the airport — catering beyond what the operator provides, ground transport, de-icing on a bad morning, overnight crew costs from a delay you caused — are between you and the operator.

Refunds, plainly

Before an operator accepts: cancel any time, at no cost. Your card has not been charged.

After an operator accepts: non-refundable. An aircraft, a crew and an airport slot are committed against your seat, and they were committed because of it.

If the flight is cancelled by the operator or by us: the full amount — seat price and service fee — goes back to your card. Weather, mechanical, crew duty limits: all of it is on our side of the line, not yours.
